Tube Profile Guide
Start with the profile that fits the assembly, load path, appearance and joining method. Include the outside dimensions, wall thickness and any drawing reference in your RFQ.

A familiar choice for handles, frames, rails, supports and formed components. Specify outside diameter, wall thickness, length and finish.

Useful where flat faces, directional stiffness or a clean frame geometry are required. State side dimensions, corner preference and cut orientation.

For visible hardware and custom assemblies, provide a section drawing or sample reference so profile, fit-up and surface direction can be aligned.
Material Grade Guide
Often considered for controlled indoor applications where appearance and efficient sourcing are important. Confirm the finished-product environment with the RFQ.
A widely specified stainless grade for many fabricated products, fittings, hardware and indoor or moderately demanding environments.
Commonly requested when the service environment calls for additional corrosion-resistance consideration, including coastal or chemical-exposure projects.

Surface Finish Guide
Surface appearance affects both the finished component and downstream processing. Brushed or satin finishes are commonly selected for controlled directional texture; mirror finishes are used for a high-reflective appearance; plating or PVD preparation requires a consistently prepared base surface.
Processing Checklist
Adding processing details early helps the quote reflect the actual component rather than only the base tube.

Quality & Inspection Checklist
Use the checklist below to make the technical requirement clear before sampling or production.
| Confirm | Include in the RFQ |
|---|---|
| Profile & wall | OD or side dimensions, wall thickness and applicable tolerances |
| Length & straightness | Finished length, cut type and straightness requirement |
| Surface | Finish designation, cosmetic side and protection requirement |
| Weld & fabrication | Weld condition, bead treatment, holes, bends or formed ends |
| Packing | Bundle, sleeve, film or carton requirements for transport and handling |

End use, round/square/rectangular/special profile, dimensions and drawing or sample reference.
201, 304 or 316L; finish requirement; visible side and protection expectations.
Length, cutting, bending, punching, end forming, annual or project quantity, packing and delivery destination.
FAQ
State the finished-product environment, appearance requirement and processing plan. 201, 304 and 316L are commonly specified for different project needs; providing the end use helps align the proposed grade with the application.
For round tube, provide outside diameter and wall thickness. For square or rectangular tube, provide side dimensions and wall thickness. For special profiles, include a dimensioned drawing, critical fit-up points and the finished length.
Name the intended finish, identify any visible surface or grain direction, and include a sample or approved reference where appearance must match an existing component or hardware range.
Include profile, dimensions, wall thickness, grade, finish, length, quantity, secondary processing, packing needs and a drawing or sample reference. This gives the quotation a clearer basis from the start.
